Privacy Policy
This privacy policy covers the iOS apps BridgeWhiz (a bridge teaching app) and OP-EX (a dumbbell workout app), both developed by Hal Shilling. We take your privacy seriously and collect as little data as possible.
What We Collect
Feedback messages. Both apps include an optional in-app feedback button. If you choose to send feedback, your name, email address, and message are transmitted to and stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). This information is used solely to respond to your feedback and is never shared with third parties.
Nothing else. We do not collect:
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Any data for advertising purposes
Data Stored on Your Device
BridgeWhiz Your practice history, report card scores, streak counts, and convention card settings are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
OP-EX Your workout history, exercise weights, calibration data, and settings are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. Purchase status (whether you've unlocked the full app) is verified through Apple's StoreKit and is handled entirely by Apple.
Third-Party Services
Both apps use Google Firebase (Firestore) solely to receive optional feedback messages you choose to send. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. You can review Google's privacy practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
In-app purchases in OP-EX are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment information.
Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted feedback through our apps, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it promptly.
Data Deletion
Since most data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app. If you would like us to delete any feedback message you submitted, email us at halshilling@gmail.com with a description of your message and the approximate date it was sent, and we will remove it within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our apps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
